Sharon Frayne, local author and member of the Niagara Writer’s Circle brought to life the important contributions of the Johnson family and their connection to NOTL. Chief ’Smoke’ Johnson, Chief George Johnson and the poet Pauline Johnson, Mohawk members of the Six Nations helped shape Canadian history and culture. Stories by the Writer’s Circle are featured weekly in the Niagara Advance to celebrate Canada 150.
