Together, we're helping to make lives better in our community and around the world.

Donating to Rotary means a stronger community, clean water, sanitation, health and hope in areas that were once ravaged by diseases like polio. It also means economic development and new opportunities.

When you give to The Rotary Foundation, you fuel our service projects - projects that improve communities, eradicate polio, and promote peace.

Your financial help makes all this happen, and more.

Rotary Club Of Niagara-On-The-Lake – Médecins Sans Frontières – Covid-19 Response
It is clear that we are, together, experiencing the epic health threat of our generation. Now present in 210 countries with over 2.4 million infections and over 165,000 deaths worldwide, COVID-19 is affecting a tidal wave of social and economic disruption.
Health care systems in China, Italy, Spain, France and parts of the US are staggering. Health care workers are suffering high levels of infection (9% of confirmed cases in Spain alone are doctors and nurses) and that destabilizes any ability to save lives that could and should be spared.
MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières - Doctors Without Borders) is sending doctors, nurses, respiratory technicians, infection control experts to the front lines everywhere needed, together with now treasured protective gear. MSF now has COVID-19 Response Teams on the ground in 47 countries, with more on the way.
We know what we now face, even here in Canada, in our prosperous and safe country, will challenge every resource we have to slow the infection rate and blunt the impact of COVID-19.
COVID-19 has now appeared in the overcrowded refugee camps of Syria and Jordan, among the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, in the crowded slums of Nairobi...and so many more…all places where sanitation is marginal, crowding is the norm and subsistence is meagre.
The health consequences under these conditions will be staggering. But, to save thousands of lives, measures can and must be taken, NOW.
MSF has been pushed to the edge of capacity as well, losing many of their frontline caregivers to infection and straining available resources to the limit.
Our local Rotary Club in Niagara-on-the-Lake has so far raised more than $34,000 to help save lives on the front lines with the most vulnerable of all people in the world. We are asking you to also consider supporting MSF Emergency COVID-19 Fund as soon as possible. Our Rotary Club has negotiated with MSF to ensure this donation will only go to those countries who are in the highest need within the Developing World Countries.

Cheques should be made payable to:
“NOTL Rotary Foundation”, marked “For MSF COVID-19 Relief Fund” and mailed to: Rotary Club of NOTL, P. O. Box 1232, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, L0S 1J0.
