Invite your Friends and Family to join us this Tuesday April 27that 7pm, What's Happening at the Shaw, 2021?

Tim Jennings, Executive Director/CEO of The SHAW FESTIVAL

A respected and awarded performing arts manager with more than 35 years of international professional experience, Tim Jennings is a passionate social advocate known for his creativity, financial acumen, leadership skills and energy. He joined the Shaw Festival as its Executive Director in the fall of 2015.

Additionally, he was appointed to the Lord Mayor’s Niagara-on-the-Lake COVID-19 recovery advisory group and regularly collaborates with similar groups regarding arts and tourism across North America.
An astute move by Mr. Jennings to purchase pandemic insurance in 2016 allowed the Festival to keep most of its artists and workers employed during last year’s COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, with the assistance of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS), he created the Education and Community Outreach Specialists (ECOS) program and rehired many of the Festival’s independent contractors as summer employees who worked the remainder of the season as ambassadors for The Shaw, creators of online content and artist-educators in education and outreach programs.
Mr. Jennings continues to lead the Festival through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week's Strategic Planning- Next steps for our 3 year plan
Last week, those in attendance, assisted the Strategic Planning team to build upon the feedback obtained through the questionnaire results and member meetings, to identify the short-term steps and activities that should be taken to achieve the long-term actions.

The priorities identified in this plan are the same as Rotary International’s plan for 2019 - 2024:
  • To increase our Impact
  • Expand our Reach
  • Enhance participant Engagement, and
  • Increase our ability to Adapt

We are in the midst of a global pandemic. While we acknowledge that COVID-19 has changed the way we live, work, and communicate, what has not changed is a need for the values that define Rotary: fellowship, integrity, diversity, service to others, action, and leadership.

Our vision statement explains what we want to achieve, in the same way that our mission statement explains our focus, and our strategic plan represents how we are going to get there.

Our Vision

The Rotary Club Of Niagara On the Lake vision is to continually be a high profile, dynamic service organization within the Town of Niagara On the Lake, actively involved in worthwhile Youth, Community and International projects, which make a difference in the lives of all involved.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Rotary Club of Niagara On the Lake is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace.

When the world is hurting, Rotarians step up and become leaders within our community and around the world. With our new plan, we are honouring our past and embracing our future. We can evolve and keep The Rotary Club of Niagara On the Lake, not only relevant but thriving because this period in history is also creating new opportunities to expand our reach and impact, just doing things differently.

Your membership input has been and continues to be the driving force of this initiative to help us to make the most of your experience as a Rotarian and a member of the Rotary Club of Niagara On the Lake.

On behalf of your Strategic Planning team, we thank you.
