At our meeting July 26th, Kathy Weiss, Project Facilitator for The Town presented the key components of the Business Retention and Expansion (B R &E) Program which is aimed at building and improving relationships between The Town and the Local Business Community starting with the Tourism sector. This program will assist The Town in analyzing it’s business community and addressing any immediate concerns, as well as identifying positive and negative attributes of the community as a place to do business. The outcome of the program is to respond to local business needs and promote job growth.
To complete this program, The Town is looking for Volunteers working in teams of two people to interview and record business surveys of local businesses. Kathy will conduct a training session for the volunteers, provide Interview tools and provide mileage reimbursement.
The timeline to complete this program is September 13th 2022 to February 3.2023 and will involve each team conducting one business interview per week for 20 weeks. Kathy is looking for 4 Volunteers from the Rotary Club. We have two volunteers already so if this project is of interest to you, please contact Kathy directly at:
The dates have been set and the gears are turning. Thanks again to Lorna Penman, the 2022 Holiday House Tour Committee has a full line up of lovely homes for this year. Brenda and Blair McArthur are opening up their doors for an evening program again and look forward to welcoming many guests through their estate.
On Dec 2 and 3, the first weekend in December, we will need almost 200 volunteers and hope that YOU can help us make it our Club’s biggest fundraising event. Grab your phone and highlight the dates. This year the SignUpGenius App will help make volunteering in your preferred time slot even easier. Stay tuned for more details.
