About Our Club

Club Activities

Our Club has approximately 65 active and honourary members, making us a relatively large club in the Niagara district.

Our primary fundraisers are the Holiday House Tour in December, and the Sunset Cocktail Party (formerly Ice Wine event).  Through these and other projects, we raise over $150,000 per year.

Club History

The Club was formed and officially recognized at a Charter Night at the Queen's Landing on April 8, 1994.  There were 26 Charter members.  Meetings were held in the basement of the Prince of Wales Hotel for the first few years.

Since its inception over 30 years ago, we have strived to live up to our motto of “Service Above Self”, through generous donations to local and international projects, and through direct volunteering.

Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary receives Gold Hero Award

The NOTL Rotary was recently honoured to receive the Gold Hero Award from Shelterbox, for the support the Club has provided in 2024/25.  Shelterbox provides emergency shelter for those in other countries suffering emergency housing needs.  The consistent work of the Shelter Box organization across the world is impressive and so important in the light of all the conflicts and disasters, man-made and natural, on an on-going basis.

NOTL Rotary is proud to support this worthy organization.

Our club has always been a strong supporter of Shelter Box and this will continue into the future. They do such wonderful work to assist other NGO’s, giving hope to those with nothing left after a natural or man made disaster.”
