Happy Canada Day 2023!

Is there a better place to celebrate Canada Day than Niagara-on-the-Lake?!

Join the Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake as we celebrate Canada Day with lots of exciting programming, including entertainment and food at Simcoe Park!

Simcoe Park: Free Entry

11:30 am - 3 pm: Rotary & PigOut Catering Canada Day BARBECUE!

Food choices are: Canadian Burger, Veggie Burger, Jumbo Hot Dog, Corn on the Cob, Chips, Beverages

11:30 am – 3:00 pm:  Live music in the bandshell, children’s activities (including face painting & balloon artists), Niagara Antique and Classic Car Association, and the Tiny Museum!

3:00 pm:  Annual Cake Parade led by the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps proceeds along Queen Street into Simcoe Park, where the cake is distributed to the public, free of charge at approximately 3:30 pm.

Willow Cakes and Pastries has generously donated the Canada Day cake again for 2023, with the design a secret until the day of the event!

Fort George National Historic Site:

See musket firing, the Fife & Drum Corps and spectacular fireworks after dark! FREE ALL DAY!

 

10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Tour the buildings, visit with costumed interpreters, enjoy a musket demonstration, and more! 

4:00 pm: Food trucks will be on site

6:30 pm: Kiddie Militia and drill, followed by a presentation by the 41st Regiment Fife & Drum Corps, and Fort George Artillery

On stage: “The Howling Horns” An 8-piece horn band featuring music from blues to dance to classic rock.

10:00 pm: Spectacular Fireworks Display will once again close the evening, by the award-winning fireworks company, Garden City Fireworks

The day’s and evening’s events are all free for the public with generous donations and support from the Department of Canadian Heritage, The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Parks Canada, local businesses and individual supporters.

Funds raised by the sale of food by the Friends of Fort George will help to support summer student employment opportunities at Fort George & Brock’s Monument.

Artistry by the Lake: July 1-3, 10 am - 5 pm, Queen's Royal Park.

Free entry. Wheelchair accessible.
 

Come see a variety of artists showcasing painting, fibre arts, jewellery, sculptures, photography, pottery, glass, wood and more! A juried show presented by the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce set in picturesque Queen's Royal Park, overlooking the Niagara River and Lake Ontario.​

Join the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre tent at this event on July 1st and 2nd. The art hub of the community is making art accessible to all with an interactive outdoor art activity inspired by the exhibits on view in their galleries. Everyone is welcome to participate and plant creative seeds to grow the 'Watercolour Community Garden'.​
