March 5, 2019 Luncheon

Stephen Bedford introduced guest speakers.
Debbi Sexsmith, an Urban Indigenous Homeward Bound  program coordinator at the Niagara Region Native Centre. This program addresses needs and challenges of homeless, Indigenous, single mothers living in poverty in seven of Ontario's Friendship Centre communities.
Our other speaker was Dionne Pierrot, Indigenous mother of five who through this program is working towards her college diplomas, career and achieving economic self-sufficiency.  She presented a PowerPoint outlining the work of the Urban Indigenous Homeward Bound program.
Joe Will thanked speakers and presented them with a certificate of a donation made on their behalf to the End Polio Now.
